The general objective of the project is to strengthen the governance of adaptation to climate change and increase the resilience to climate change in Spain and Portugal, in line with the European Adaptation Strategy.

This general objective will be reached through these three specific objectives:

• Generate knowledge in the field of adaptation and contribute to its dissemination through the AdapteCCa platform.

• Improve and enhance capacitation, communication and awareness raising on adaptation to climate change.

• Strengthen the coordination and cooperation among key agents: specially with the private sector, between public administrations and with Portugal.

Complementing these objectives, the LIFE SHARA project includes a specific action aimed at evaluating the impact that the National Plan of Adaptation to Climate Change is having on the improvement of Spain's adaptive capacities and on its resilience increase to face climate change.
